Macada Lightweight training mace

This creation was born through the blending of 2 worlds. One ancient and one modern. The Gada is the Indian name for a mace and usually has a wooden or bamboo handle and a concrete or stone head. The Steel Mace is the 20th century version of the Gada. A solid or hollow steel globe welded to a steel handle.

To make a steel mace under 3kg is tricky. You have to make the mace very small and this then doesn’t feel good to hold. I wanted to create something that was a good size, solid build and was under 3kg. I decided to blend the Gada and Steel Mace to create the Macada. It has a loadable steel globe and a soft wooden handle. The handle runs through the globe like a hammer or axe making it very strong and durable enough to do tyre slams.

If you’re looking for a stylish lightweight training mace for active recovery days and when you just want to practice technique without getting to tired too quick. This might be the tool for you
